Welcome to my Musical Artist Press Kit
Approved Bio for Immediate Release
Antje Lang is a US-bred, London-based indie folk-pop artist with a penchant for incisive lyrics exploring grief, awe, and cycling existential questions that also poke fun at the mundane brilliance of everyday life. After a few years as student-musician on her University’s record label (ft. opening gigs for Smallpools and Natalie York), Antje went into a period of musical hermitage while dealing with the necessary work of re-learning life after loss. She has compiled these learnings into her forthcoming album ‘Notes to a Doctor,’ due out May 5th.
Not one for boxes, Antje draws on inspiration from across the time-artist spectrum.

“Music, like all forms of creative expression in which I engage, is a way for me to work through an answer to a question or, less usefully, better articulate a question I didn’t even understand I had.
This album circled around this question: how do I exist in a world where we don’t make much space for questions or for critical thought in the face of this immutable fact - one day we will all die? How do I arrive at purpose?”
